From May 1, 2015 you can book online your entry tickets to the Taj Mahal in Agra and Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi. The e-ticketing facility, a collaboration between ASI and ICRTC, for the two Archaeological Survey of India-maintained monuments was launched by minister of state for culture and tourism Mahesh Sharma in Delhi. Detailing the salient features of the portal, officials said visitors can book their tickets online under three categories. This is very good news for all the visitors of Taj Mahal in Agra(INDIA)
Buying a Taj Mahal Ticket Online
E-tickets can be booked at the IRCTC website — www.asi.irctc.co.in — and can also be bought at the e-ticket windows at such monuments.
Online sale of tickets on a limited scale for Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)-protected monuments was successfully carried out by IRCTC and now it has been decided to extend it to all gates — East, West and South — of the Taj Mahal, said a senior Culture Ministry official.
New Ticket Price of Taj Mahal Entry Fee 2017
While the entry fee to the Taj for Indians is Rs.40/- it is Rs.530/- for other SAARC countries’ citizens and Rs.1000/- for other foreign visitors to Taj Mahal.
As far as the Humayun’s Tomb is concerned, the entry fee is Rs 10 for Indians and SAARC citizens and Rs 250 for other foreigners. Entry for children, who are under 15 years, is free in both the monuments.
For the convenience of tourists visiting the Taj Mahal, an option of choosing their time of visit is also made available.
